The Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) of Iraq sentenced two al-Qaeda members to death after convicting them of carrying out attacks in which many people were killed or wounded.
Al-Karkh criminal court in Baghdad ordered death by hanging for two convicts belonging to al-Qaeda based on sufficient evidence, according to an SJC statement.
The two were arrested last year by security forces in al-Radhwaniyah area while planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the side of road.
