IRAQ: THREE SENTENCED TO DEATH BY SULAIMANI COURT FOR 2013 KIRKUK TAXI MURDERS
Sulaimani Criminal Court on 12 May 2019 handed down fifteen death sentences to three people who had been convicted earlier of killing eighteen taxi drivers in 2013.

Sulaimani Criminal Court on 12 May 2019 handed down fifteen death sentences to three people who had been convicted earlier of killing eighteen taxi drivers in 2013.
The Sulaimani West Asayish (security) said in a statement that the three were sentenced in accordance with Article 10 of Anti-Terror Law Number 3 of 2006.
The men abducted and killed the taxi drivers in Kirkuk city between March 18 to November 2 in 2013, according to the statement.
“Seven people were arrested by Asayish in relation to the case. Four others have yet to be sentenced.”
