Ivory Coast opposition leader Alassane Ouattara said in an interview that the security forces who executed former junta leader Robert Guei had also tried to kill him the week previously. "The same tank that came to my house _ and rammed the gate had gone to the house of General Robert Guei, who was assassinated along with his wife, his children and those near him, 19 in all," he told the Paris daily La Croix. "I accuse the gendarmerie, a group of about 30 men who are a real death brigade," he said. "They tried to kill me in my house." Ouattara said the security forces who attacked Guei's and his houses all spoke Bete, the language of the ethnic group of President Laurent Gbagbo.
