Justice Minister Hikmet Sami Turk said that provision that the terrorist convicts who were sentenced to death penalty and whose punishment was commuted to life imprisonment would not benefit from conditional release could be included in a law that would be passed.
Responding to questions of reporters about the result of the survey carried out by Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) that majority of Turkish people wanted abolition of death sentence if it was commuted to life imprisonment and asked about his views, Turk said that the path of reaching modern civilization was going through being included in Europe.
