Justice Peter Tebbutt dismissed Lehlohonolo Kobedi's death sentence appeal

Justice Peter Tebbutt dismissed Lehlohonolo Kobedi's death sentence appeal. Together with four other appeal judges, Tebbutt quashed all the reasons for Kobedi's appeal. But stayed his execution pending the appeal to President Festus Mogae for clemency. Kobedi had been convicted and sentenced to death in September 1998 for killing a policeman Kebotsetswe Goepamang in 1993.
