a 21 year old man who attempted to rob a businesswoman of property was sentenced to death by a Nanyuki court in Kenya. Jack Mwangi Simon was convicted by acting senior principal magistrate Hannah Ndung'u. However, Simon's co-accused, Mr Joseph Ndiritu and Mr John Rukwaro, were acquitted for lack of evidence. The trio had been charged with attempting to steal from Ms Rose Njiru Musembi at Makutano village, Laikipia East District, on July 11, 2006, while armed with pangas and iron bars.
