KENYA: TWO DEATH SENTENCES FOR VIOLENT ROBBERY

in Kenya, Makadara principal magistrate Mrs Teresia Murigi sentenced two men to death for violently robbing a man coming from a funeral of Sh150 and a cell phone. Sammy Mburu Wairimu and Michael Njoroge Kibue, alias Sadam, were arrested and charged with violent robbery, which carries a mandatory death penalty. The two allegedly attacked Mr Mugura on May 13, 2006 near Kenyatta University, armed with metal bars and stones.
