Lawyers for convicted killer Mariette Bosch, called for an independent commission of inquiry into the circumstances surrounding her hanging. Legal consultant Anne Schofield said the hanging was carried out before all legal representations supporting a plea for clemency had been made. "We call for the appointment of an independent commission of inquiry to investigate whether the proper procedures under the Constitution, other laws of Botswana and Botswana's treaty obligations were followed."
