Malawi Information Minister Lipenga said President Bingu wa Mutharika would not sign any death warrant for convicts sentenced to death.

Malawi Information Minister Lipenga said President Bingu wa Mutharika would not sign any death warrant for convicts sentenced to death. Lipenga said the death penalty was provided for in the constitution but no one had been executed since the country attained multi-party democracy.
