the five-man Malaysian Federal Court unanimously dismissed the appeal of Ahmad Najib Aris, 34. He was sentenced to death for the rape and murder of Canny Ong on June 14, 2003.

the five-man Malaysian Federal Court unanimously dismissed the appeal of Ahmad Najib Aris, 34. He was sentenced to death for the rape and murder of Canny Ong on June 14, 2003. Ong was abducted from the Bangsar Shopping Centre. Three days later, her charred remains were found in a manhole. On Feb 23, 2005, trial judge Datuk Muhammad Ideres Rapee sentenced Najib to death. The three-man Court of Appeal on March 5, 2007, affirmed the conviction and sentence.
