the Malaysian High Court sentenced to death by hanging a man found guilty of trafficking in 81.43gm of the drug, methamphetamine, six years ago. The accused, Hoh Bon Ton, 30, was sent to the gallows by Judicial Commissioner Datuk Mohd Zawawi Salleh under Section 39B(2) of Dangerous Drugs Act (DDA) 1952. Hoh was found guilty of committing the offence at a hotel in Jalan Dato Abdullah Tahir at about 2.40am on Aug 30, 2006. Hoh nodded when the sentence passed on him was read by the court interpreter in Mandarin.
