MALAYSIA: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING

Judge Datuk Abdul Rahim Uda of the High Court in George Town, Malaysia, sentenced painter Chuah Kok Eng to death for drug trafficking. Chuah, 47, was sentenced to death for trafficking in 271.9g of cannabis at his house in Jalan Jelutong a 12.45am on Nov 3, 2001. A stay of execution pending appeal was granted.
