the Federal Court of Malaysia rejected the appeal of Hanafi Mat Hassan, 38, against the death sentence handed down to him for the rape and murder of a 24-year-old computer engineer.

the Federal Court of Malaysia rejected the appeal of Hanafi Mat Hassan, 38, against the death sentence handed down to him for the rape and murder of a 24-year-old computer engineer.
Hanafi, from Bachok, Kelantan, was sentenced to be hanged to death by the Shah Alam High Court on April 26, 2002.
As well as sending him to the gallows, the High Court also sentenced Hanafi to 20 years imprisonment and to 12 strokes of the cane for the rape and murder of Noor Suzaily on October 7, 2000.
