Wan Bakri Wan Ahmad, a technician, was sentenced to death for drug trafficking in Malaysia. High Court judge Datuk Ahmad Maarop returned a guilty verdict and passed the mandatory death sentence. Bakri, 47, was found guilty of trafficking in 402.03g of cannabis at Kampung Kubang Bakong in Jalan Pulau Musang on July 10, 2003 and was also sentenced to 17 years' jail on two counts of possession of cannabis.
