Michael D. Clagett, 39, was put to death by electric chair after refusing to be put to death by lethal injection. He had been accused of killing four people during a hold up on 30th June 1994: Lam Van Son, 41; Karen S. Rounds, 31; Abdelaziz Gren, 34; and Wendel G. "J.R." Parrish Jr., 32. He was the fourth person to be executed in the State during the year, the 77th since the State resumed executions in 1982. He was the 53rd to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 651 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
