Michael Mucheru Gatu, 40, was sentenced to death for killing five members of his family. Gatu was convicted of sneaking into his younger brother's home on the night of July 10 1999, dousing his timber house in petrol and setting it ablaze, killing him and his family. High Court Judge Alex Etyang said the prosecution had proved a case against Gatu. "You shall suffer death too the way you burnt to death your brother, his wife and children," Justice Etyang said.
