Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer wrote a private letter to the attorney-general. In his letter, Ben-Eliezer asked whether the law enforcement bodies knew about 'din rodef' (the rabbinical edict permitting the killing of a Jew who endangers the lives of other Jews) and 'din moser' (the rabbinical edict permitting punishment, including the death penalty, of a Jew who hands over Jews or their property to gentiles).
