Monroe County President Judge Ronald E. Vican formally sentenced Manuel "Pete" Sepulveda to death.
Sepulveda, 22, was convicted last November of first degree murder in the killings of Johnny Mendez, 19, and Ricardo "Cano" Lopez Jr., 20, on Nov. 26, 2001. The jury that convicted Sepulveda recommended that he receive the death penalty.
