On a local radio chat show callers vented their anger at the man whose brutal rebel movement had caused so much misery and suffering. Many called on him to be executed. One group of about 300 people sang and danced down a main thoroughfare holding aloft his b loodied and torn shirt. "We have Sankoh! We have Sankoh!" they chanted. At the army headquarters where Sankoh was taken a mob of several hundred quickly formed at the gate baying for his blood.
