On January 25, the No. 1 Intermediate People's Court handed down death sentences to Zhen Ziqiang and Chen Yunqing for setting up and operating a factory to process the drug "Ice." The factory had produced a total of more than 80kg of the stimulant. It also ordered that 20,000 yuan ($2,400) in personal funds be confiscated from each. Two others involved in the case, Fang Mingsheng and Huang Dazhun, respectively received life imprisonment and a death sentence with a 2-year reprieve.
