On March 1, China executed a woman for running a prostitution racket in Beijing. Ma Yulan, 41, ran 10 prostitutes from her restaurant and a hotel in 1996 and 1997. All of Ma's assets was confiscated by the Beijing No.1 People's Intermediate Court.
