PAKISTAN: 2 GET DEATH SENTENCE FOR MURDER

in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, Additional District and Sessions Judge Syed Ali Imran sentenced Tariq Mehmood to death for killing Mazhar Hussain on May 23, 2008, after he divorced the sister of Tariq’s wife. He was also ordered to pay Rs300,000 compensation. Additional District and Sessions Judge Sajid Ali Awan sentenced Sakhi Jan to death for killing Chan Zeb over a dispute over a vehicle under Sadiqabad police station on December 14, 2007. He was also ordered to pay Rs200,000 compensation.
