PAKISTAN: COURT AWARDS DEATH SENTENCES FOR MURDER

in Sialkot, Pakistan, Additional District & Session Judge Sialkot Zafar Iqbal Tarar sentenced Faraz to death and fined him Rs.100,000 for murdering Bashir Ahmad, 65, with knives under Hajipura police station over an old money dispute few years ago. Additional District & Session Judge Sambrial Ch. Badar-ud-Din sentenced Abid Butt to death and fined him Rs. 300,000 for killing Ibaad Ali alias Rafaqat Ali over an old enmity in village Dhillum Balugan, Sambrial tehsil in 2004. Additional District & Session Judge Pasrur Syed Ehsan Mehboob Bukhari sentenced Mujahid to death and fined him Rs. 100,000 for killing Arshad with knives over a minor dispute in village Kotli Sulehriyaan, Pasrur tehsil a few years ago.
