Justices Mazhar Hussain Minhas and Mehmood Akhtar Khan commuted the death sentence of Mazhar and set aside the conviction of the co-accused Ilyas. The two men were sentenced for murdering Tanveer Hussain and Shahzad Hussain over a petty dispute at a cricket match in October 1998.
