PAKISTAN: JUDGEMENT RESERVED ON DEATH CONVICT’S APPEAL

the SHC anti-terrorism bench in Pakistan reserved its judgement on an appeal filed by Tanveer Ahmed over his death sentence for kidnapping and killing Iqra, 8, on February 25, 2007. On December 13, 2008, Karachi anti terrorism court-I sentenced Ahmed to death and ordered him to pay Rs 500,000 as fine to the family of the victim and six months rigorous imprisonment.
