UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: EXECUTION UPHELD FOR MURDER OF TEEN PHONE HARASSER

in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, the Cassation Court approved the death sentence of H B for killing a teenager on February 27, 2009, over harassing telephone calls to the man’s wife. H B ran over to the teenager with his car and stabbed him to death. The Al Ain Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced HB to death in April 2009, this was upheld by the Court of Appeal.
