President General Pervez Musharraf issued orders to defer the executions of three convicts for a month. Gul Muhammad Khan, Ahmed Shir and Abdullah had been sentenced to death for shooting dead four people over a land dispute on May 29, 1991. They were imprisoned in Mianwali Jail and were to hang on January 24 but their relatives appealed to President Musharraf to delay execution for one month as the families of the condemned were trying to come to a truce with the victim’s families.
