Pakistani President Rafiq Tarar stayed the execution of Niaz Ahmed till April 26.Ahmed was scheduled to be hanged in the Sahiwal Central Jail on April 6. He had been condemned for murdering his relative Mohammad Sharif. High court and Supreme Court had rejected his appeals. President had also turned down his mercy petition.
