Poland's right wing Law and Justice Party (PiS) demanded the restoration of the death penalty for murderers. PiS leader, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that capital punishment was an appropriate penalty for murdering another human being. Moreover it would reinstate the elementary moral order in the state, he added.
