Ponchai Wilkerson, 28, black, was executed by lethal injection. He had been convicted of killing Chung Myong, of Asian origin during a robbery committed on 28th November 1990. He was the 11th person to be executed in the State during the year, No 210 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 21st to be executed in the U.S. during the year and No 619 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
