Ricky McGinn, 43, white, was executed by lethal injection. McGinn had been accused of raping and murdering his twelve year old step daughter, Stephanie Rae Flanary, on 22nd May 1993. He was the 33rd person to be executed in the State during the year, No 232 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 69th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 667 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
