Jeffrey Caldwell, 37, black, was executed by lethal injection. Caldwell had been convicted of killing his father, Henry, 47, his mother, Gwendolyn and his sister, Kimberly on 25th July 1988. He was the 32nd person to be executed in the State during the year, No 231 since the State resumed executions in 1974. He was the 65th to be put to death in the U.S. during the year and No 663 since the death penalty was re-introduced in 1976.
