S. Sivakumar, 27, V. Muruga, 24, S. Vijayan, 24, and N. Ravindran, 23, were sentenced to death by the High Court for the murder of an estate worker in July 1998. A fith man, who was 17 at the time of the killing was ordered to be detained at the Ruler's pleasure.
