1 MIN READ
Russian regional authorities called for the death penalty for drug dealers. "The state must legalize the toughest punishment for drug dealers," the governor of Russia's Irkutsk Region Boris Govorin said. "I am sure the government should introduce death penalty for the persons capitalizing on the lives of hundreds of thousand of our children," he said, speaking on occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
Chelyabinsk mayor Vyacheslav Tarasov backed the amendments to Russian legislation envisaging the death penalty for drug trafficking.
