Several members of the upper house of the Russian parliament, the Federation Council, supported the idea to impose death penalty on terrorists. The head of defense and security committee of the Council, Viktor Ozerov said senators proposed such amendments to the Russian legislation. "Terrorist must know what awaits him. I am sure that many of my colleagues in the house will support such changes in the Criminal Procedure Code," Ozerov was quoted as saying.
