Sher Khan, alias Khapra, was given the death sentence on six counts of murder. He was found guilty of killing six people on February 12, 2001. Sher Khan killed his victims in a rage after Noor Bibi refused to grant him permission to marry her daughter, Sameena. Both women, Sameena's grandfather, Ilahi Bux, and a relative, Kausar, were among the victims. The murders took place at Hameed Paracha's residence in the Khyaban-e-Shamsheer district in Karachi. Hameed's wife, Badar Paracha, and a guard, Nazeer, were the other two victims. The death sentence was handed out by the Anti Terrorism Court (ATC-III) in Karachi.
