Sichuan's Mianyang city convened a judgment rally to showcase the initial results from the "Hurricane-C" centralized operation.
During the rally, 6,500 grams of drugs were burnt, 36 lawbreakers and people suspected of drug offences were punished, detained, or sentenced to re-education through labour. One drug offender was taken directly from the rally to an execution ground to be shot.
After the rally, more than ten thousand students and ordinary citizens participated in a drug prohibition signature drive.
