the Military Court of Somalia in Mogadishu sentenced to death an Al-Shabaab member who was found guilty of murdering a top military officer. Mohamed Issack Abdi was convicted of deliberately shooting and killing Gen. Hussein Omar Hilowle in Jowhar, the capital of Middle Shabelle Region, on 29 October 2013. Hilowle, better known as Moja-Moja, was one of the leading Government military officers that helped the liberation of the Middle Shabelle Region from the Al-Shabaab militants in 2012.
