SOUTH KOREA: KANG APPEALS AGAINST DEATH SENTENCE

Kang Ho-soon lodged an appeal with a South Korean High Court against the death sentence imposed on him for murder a day earlier, court officials said. Kang himself wrote and filed the appeal document with the Ansan branch of the Suwon High Court, without consulting his lawyer, court officials said. They said he seems to have appealed the ruling with regard to the counts of killing his wife and mother-in-law.
