State press reported that two pimps were executed in Guangdong after being convicted of kidnapping or buying women and forcing them into prostitution. Liao Kui, 23, was convicted of tricking six young women into moving to Guangzhou where they were forced into prostitution at a local barber shop. In a separate case, Liu Huakang was sentenced to death for buying eight women and forcing them into prostitution in Puning city, also in Guangdong province.
