Taiwanese nationals Suo Guizhi and Chen Qingbiao were sentenced to death and three others were given jail terms after court in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai convicted them of drug trafficking

Taiwanese nationals Suo Guizhi and Chen Qingbiao were sentenced to death and three others were given jail terms after court in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai convicted them of drug trafficking. The five were found guilty of buying 2.9 kilograms of heroin in Guangzhou which was destined for Taiwan. Two mainland Chinese were also imprisoned for being part in the trafficking ring. Two other traffickers were condemned to death with a stay of execution of two years, a sentence which is often commuted to life in prison. The three Taiwanese to receive jail terms were sentenced to life, 15 years and 13 years in prison, according to the newspaper.
