Terry Jess Dennis, resolute to the end about not wanting any appeals, was executed tonight at the Nevada State Prison for strangling a woman in 1999. He was declared dead at 9:08 p.m. Dennis becomes the 2nd condemned inmate to be put to death this year in Nevada and the 38th in the USA Dennis pleaded guilty to the killing of Ilona Strumanis, 51. A 3-judge panel sentenced Dennis to death.
