THAILAND: 4 POLICEMEN GET DEATH SENTENCE

the Thai Criminal Court sentenced four policemen to death on drug trafficking charges. They are Pol Sgt-Maj Suthat Saipanya, Pol Sgt-Maj Tawan Kosutho and Pol Senior Sgt-Maj Viroj Moonprao of Border Patrol Police Unit 33 in Mae Rim district, and Pol Senior Sgt-Maj Phumpipat Thamsuhiran of Doi Sa Ket police station, in Chiang Mai province. They allegedly sold 150,000 methamphetamine pills in Bang Pa-in district of Ayutthaya province on September 22, 2007.
