The Additional District and Sessions Court in Jessore, Bangladesh, sentenced five people to death by hanging for killing a man after abducting him

The Additional District and Sessions Court in Jessore, Bangladesh, sentenced five people to death by hanging for killing a man after abducting him.
The court also fined the convicts Tk 10,000 each, after finding them guilty of murdering Ruhul Amin Biswas of Bariali village in Chowgachha on January 1, 1996.
The condemned were Akkas, Aslam, Mainur, Mostoba and Ameer. According to the prosecution the convicts kidnapped Ruhul Amin at gunpoint from his house and slaughtered him in a nearby field that night.
No motive was given for the crime.
