The Constitutional Review Commission has extended for one day in Kampala, secretary Dr. Higiro Semajege said.
"We have had a very impressive turn up in Kampala, we had more people than we could handle and due to public demand, we resolved to extend for one extra day so that more people can present their proposals," he told the Monitor at the International conference centre.
"The people were free to make observations and recommendations and we are giving them one day so that we can also start planning for other districts."
He said that nearly all the terms of reference including effective governance, federalism, decentralization, and separation of powers, among others, had been deliberated on.
Regarding the death penalty Semajege said many had proposed that death must be there for those found guilty of murder and must be executed within the shortest period.
