The executions of Dossa and Naseer Ahmed were adjourned for a month on the orders of the President of Pakistan. The two were due to be hanged in the Central Jail in Sahiwal. The reason for the suspension was to allow the two to reconcile with the parents of Imam Ali and Muhammad Ali, the brothers they were convicted of murdering. They had earlier been scheduled for hanging on 24 December, 2003 but the executions had been deferred for the same reason. They had both been sentenced to death on 27 September, 1990 by the Session Court in Okara.
