The fourth additional district court of Indore, India, sentenced to death a man named Ganesh, accused of killing his wife and four children on April 9, 2002. It was the third death sentence issued in the district since 1990. Ganesh was convicted of killing his wife Jyoti Bai, sons Manoj, Bhavani and Rahul and daughter Chanchal. Jyoti Bai was the second wife of the convict. The children were born from his first wife Indira Bai who deserted him three years previously.
