The government rejected Japan's request to extradite five Japanese Red Army members for trial on terrorism charges, where they could face the death penalty .Masao Adachi, 61; Haro Wako, 50; Mariko Yamamoto, 59; Kazuo Tohira, 46; and Kozo Okamoto, 53 - were accused by Lebanese authorities of forging documents, using false passports and residing in Lebanon illegally, and were sentenced to three years in prison.
