The Honduran government admitted that some police officers may have been involved in the murder of over 1,000 children and delinquent teenagers, killings that suggest a pattern of clean up in the streets and cover up by their superiors. "We have a problem involving the violent deaths of minors but it's not as large as some have made it out to be," said Interior Minister Jorge Hernandez Alcerro. "That is possibly because we are looking only at cases where the victims are aged 18 or under."
