The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) asked other civil society groups to protest the continuing summary executions happening in Davao City purportedly to curb the illegal drugs trade and other criminal activities in the city. Carlos Isagani Zarate, IBP Davao City president, said that people must immediately join hands in informing the authorities that they were concerned over the unabated killings, with some victims being killed as they got out of jail. "We want to emphasize that we need a concerted effort. We will show them that we are not tolerating these killings," said Mr. Zarate.
